from Barack Obama–What did you think?

Liz –

I thought the differences between John McCain and me were pretty clear tonight.

I will fight for the middle class every day, and — once again — Senator McCain didn’t mention the middle class a single time during the debate.

If you agree that we need to cut taxes for 95% of working families, reduce health care costs, and end the war in Iraq responsibly, then I need your help right now.

And if you heard John McCain push more of the same discredited policies, including tax cuts for the wealthy and giant corporations, tax increases on health care, and continuing to spend $10 billion a month in Iraq, then now is the time to act.

Four weeks from tonight, we’ll know which of us will be the next president.

Thank you,

Barack

Here’s what author and comedian Paul Reiser is saying about the ‘town hall’ concept in last week’s debate:

Is Nora Ephron becoming a 2008 Presidential Debate Schmata (Rags) and Trivial Expert?

Sounds like author Nora Ephron is echoing her dismay like my mother used when watching the Oscars or some other red carpet awards thing in her critique on what the candidates were wearing.

Nora, seriously do think Michelle or Cindy would actually let their men leave home wearing some type of schmatas (rags). ? I understand you’re trying to add humor to your HP column to add a different spin on how boring Presidential debates can be and making light of the whole affair including adding your take on what the conversations or the lack there of would be like riding home in the car from the debates.

Nonetheless, your column still was amusing and was an accurate portrayal of how the American public think about politics and other superficial/trivial things

2nd 2008 Presidential Debates-Obama v. McCain–yawn?

Was it my imagination, but was Tom Browkaw placating Sen. John McCain in last week’s Presidental Debates? Was McCain still spouting his political rhetoric? The sad thing is he (and others) whole-heartedly believes his own bullshit.  He was totally scattered being all over the place making false accusations against Sen. Obama and even was blocking the teleprompter from moderator Brokaw who was having difficulty in signing off when the debate was over.

Barack, we know you can do the job, quit trying sell/tell us on material from the 1st debate only in more detail! You already have my vote and the votes of others who like myself have voted early upon your campaign’s suggestion or by absentee ballot.  You once again, were the clear winner.  You were more centered and relaxed in general and in this debate.

After, reviewing the debates on youtube.com, I was disappointed in the overall coverage, town hall forum or not in losing their (the debates) lusting from past Presidential debates of yore.
